Meditation for Awareness

The focus of this session is inspired by October being ADHD Awareness month. Awareness is a key aspect of mindfulness and meditative practices, and this meditation will provide a space of learning what it means to be aware.

We'll start with a intro to get everyone settled and check in on how you're feeling with a brief overview of the benefits of meditation and some tips to make this practice your own.

The core of our session will be a 15-minute silent meditation, designed to cultivate awareness. Don't worry if your mind wanders; Coach Tracy will guide you back with gentle reminders.

We'll finish with a 5-minute wrap-up to help you transition back to your day.

Remember, there's no right or wrong way to participate—just showing up for yourself is what matters most.

Please note: This meditation practice will include a visualization component that asks you to connect with your body. We want to be mindful that these directions can be triggering to some participants! You are always welcome to focus on other images while meditating and any prompts are always optional.

Live better, with ADHD
Shimmer is the #1 coaching platform for adults with ADHD. Build a life you love through personalized 1:1 video coaching, handcrafted productivity tools, and science-backed learning modules.

What do you want most right now?

Note from the founder

I was the kid whose desk got pulled to the corner of the classroom. The one kicked out of ballet for talking too much. The one constantly told I was too much, not enough, doing it wrong.

When I finally got diagnosed with ADHD, it was like everything snapped into place. My past finally made sense.

But I had no path forward.

Shimmer started from my own need for support. The coaching options I found were confusing, expensive, or out of touch. Nothing felt right. I needed support that was real, personal, and grounded in science.

We built Shimmer for people like us. People who’ve been told they’re too much or not enough. People who are trying, every day, to make life feel a little more manageable and find that path forward.

If that’s you, you’re not alone anymore. You’re in the right place.
