What is body doubling?

Body doubling is working alongside others to help you focus and get things done. In our sessions, you'll join a video call where everyone works on their own tasks in shared, supportive silence. There's usually a brief check-in at the start where you can share what you're working on, then everyone mutes and focuses for 25-50 minutes. It's like having a study buddy, but for any task - emails, projects, cleaning, paperwork, whatever you need to tackle.

What is ADHD coaching and how does it work?

Shimmer's ADHD coaching is about making actionable changes in your life. While Community gives you group support and learning tracks, coaching takes it to the next level with personalized guidance specifically addressing your ADHD-related challenges.

Our ADHD coaches collaborate with you to co-design a personalized plan to help you reach your goals, targeting three key dimensions:

  • Time: Handling the past, present, and future effectively
  • Done: Starting, following through, and finishing tasks
  • Pause: Managing emotions and maintaining balance

Each coach-member partnership begins with vision and goal setting, followed by a weekly cycle of experimentation and reflection. Together, you'll experiment with strategies weekly, building a routine tailored to your needs.

This process includes weekly coaching sessions with real-human guidance and accountability, plus access to all community features like daily body doubling sessions. It's the way to really commit to growth when you're ready for the most personalized path forward.

How is the membership plan different from 1:1 coaching?
