Experience
Hey,I’m Coach Brittany! Welcome to my little corner of Shimmer! I have been an ADHD Coach for over 5 years now and worked with over 200 ADHDers. I have the most experience with late-diagnosed women, fellow LGBTQ+ neurodivergents, those with chronic illness comorbidities, and creative entrepreneurs. I have my Bachelors in Psychology from George Mason University and received coach and leadership training from the ICF-accredited Accomplishment Coaching. I am currently studying for my Masters in Diversity Leadership. Prior to my coaching career, I worked as a performing artist. You’d be shocked how much these two overlap!
Coaching style
I emphasize creating a partnership in which we can share openly and honestly. Compassionate accountability is my jam. I aim to help my clients understand the basic underpinnings of how their ADHD brains work; knowledge is empowering. I support my clients in building the exciting, manageable lives they’ve always imagined. I like to say I put the FUN in executive dysFUNction.
Why I'm an ADHD Coach
My journey was partly inspired by the great demand for more open and honest ADHD support that I saw via social media. I love connecting with other neurodivergent brains, creating a safe space where we can be our weird, wonderful selves. I stay in this industry because I see the deep lack of awareness, advocacy, and resources available to the neurodivergent community, and I believe that this is a career where I can make a difference.
